The University of Birmingham has been specially selected by key graduate recruiters in an exciting new search to find the Undergraduates of the Year. The Undergraduate of the Year Awards, created by TARGETjobs, are sponsored by The NHS, Ernst & Young, npower, Morgan Stanley, Laing O’Rourke, Thales, Mayer Brown and KPMG who aim to identify outstanding penultimate-year undergraduates amongst the UK’s top universities. In the current economic climate, it is especially important to expose students to more employers and those lucky enough to be shortlisted will be nationally recognised and massively employable.
This year, there are categories to find the best undergraduates studying law, business/finance, systems/electronics, IT/computer science, engineering, civil engineering/built environment and accountancy/economics. There is also a special award to identify the best first year student studying any degree subject. The winners’ prizes are fantastic and include cash, internships and all-expenses paid trips to New York, Australia and continental Europe and the final ten in each Award will be invited to the Undergraduate of the Year Awards in Canary Wharf London on 16 April, 2010 where the winners will be announced to national press coverage.
Students can enter at http://undergraduateoftheyear.com until 29th January 2010.
